Do We Need Antivirus for Mac?

If you are Mac user, then you should notice that many Antivirus vendors are getting into Macintosh. This is including Norton AntiVirus and Now PCTools with their product: iAntivirus which is coming with free and pro version.

Back to the question: Do wee need antivirus for Mac? With this poll, I want to know your opinions about this topic. Feel free to tell us via comment if you have additional thoughts.

I don’t think that Mac really need an Antivirus, maybe those vendors are only offering internet security suites, such as web filtering, firewall etc.. CMIIW

Mac is secure to a greater extent. But the increase in the number of Mac users, may be one of the reasons why third party vendors are coming up with Security Software.

Security is a primary concern, and as we know no software is perfect vendors always manage to convince buyers to spend money on new products. It’s ‘the fear’ that they might be the next victim that drives these sales, IMO.
